About

The Emergency Management Tech Blog is a personal project of James Hamilton.  This blog was created to provide an avenue to express the personal observations and opinions of the author regarding technology issues in the Emergency Management and Homeland Security fields. The author is certified as an Associate Emergency Manager by the International Association of Emergency Managers and has several years of Emergency Management experience. Much of the author's experience is focused on public warning, emergency communication, and technical system interoperability. As a result of the author's personal and professional experience, he is very sensitive to the fact that additional technical tools given to Emergency Managers but fully integrate into existing systems and not create additional operational or management burdens.

The content of this blog is that of the author alone and does not represent the position or opinion of any other party including any professional organization or employer present or former.
